RoChu: Who I Was Meant For
Warning: BL, fluff, Russia x China, and nothing historically accurate.
________________________________________________________________________________________________
It was late, too late for anyone to be awake yet China couldn`t lay his head down and let sleep consume his subcontinous. Snow was falling heavily in large ammounts but it was silent and therefore it shouldn`t have bothered the large nation. It did though, it made a weird feeling churn up in his stomach that forced him toss and turn in the large king-sized canopy bed. That was how he ened up like this; cold, wrapped up in his red silk robe, sitting by the freezing window, just watching snow fall on his dead garden and fall into the dark northern forests.
"Ayia....It is so cold here, aru..." He spoke to himself in a hushed tone, a puff of breath appearing right in front of his mouth. It probably didn`t help that China`s long black hair was down either, still damp from his shower a bit earlier. He had to constantly run his thin and nimble fingers through it to keep it from freezing."This is easily the worst winter we`ve had in a while...even for Northern China." China said, his nose a light pink and he had no doubt he`d probably have a cold by morning if he didn`t die from boredom before then. Yao had tried nearly everything, reading, meditating, doing Tai Chi, practicing his Kung Fu, brushing his hair, picking out his robes for the next few days, yet nothing kept him occupided long enough to see the sun or truthfully intrested him at moment. It was a curse. So finally he settled for watching the snow fall outside and remembering old stories about snow and forests. He remembered one vividly though, told to him when he was a bit younger by a small child under Mongolia`s rule just like himself. China was sure the boy was dead by now and even though it was a
depressing thing to think about, he let the child`s words replay in his mind once again.
It started off about a little girl who asked her parents to go into the dangerous woods. They told her to stay close to the group going into the brush yet soon the young girl strayed. She wandered for a while before she had stumbled across a hut. Sadly enough, the hut she took refuge in was not her own but it belonged to a big bear. The mean big bear demanded the young girl was to stay in his home forever. She was too make his breakfast, his dinner, and become his faithful servent forever. The small girl cried for many days after her freedom was taken away by the bear though there wasn`t anything she could do so she stayed in his home, keeping his hut in tip-top
shape.
Everyday the Bear would leave though, leaving the girl with a threat. Something along the lines of 'If you leave without me, I will eat you.' So the young girl stayed in the hut, thinking up ways to escape.
One day when the bear came back, she asked him if she could go deliever food for her grandparents. He refused but offered to bring it himself. She agreed but said he could not eat any of the pies and handed him the basket, telling him she`d be watching from a high up tree.Though when the bear turned his back, she crawled in and hid. Every so often on the bear`s journey, he sat down and talked about eating a pie in the basket. She called from the blanket, surprising him at how well she could see from the tree he thought she was on.
After a while the bear found himself at the town`s gates with the baket for the small girl`s grandparents. Yet because he was a bear, he scared the villagers, the people throwing rocks and dogs barking. The bear became frightened and left the basket at the gates, running off without a second thought. But without him knowing, the young girl was reunited with her family and freed from him.
Just after China replayed the story in his head, he saw a dark and large figure at the edge of the woods. Fearful it was a bear, China jumped out of the window, just peaking over from behind a wall. "I thought bears slept during this time of year, aru." China whispered to himself, his amber eyes glancing nervously for something to protect himself if it really was a bear.
The house was almost bare of weapons but China knew Kung Fu...so he` stand a chance against a bear...right? He tried to think out the pros and cons of the situation but before he knew it there was a loud bang against the door. Fear ran cold through China`s veins and he picked up a vase, slowly creeping towards the door and opening it.
Without thinking and closing his eyes, China smashed the vase over what seemed like the bear, a loud thud echoing in the home soon after. China still didn`t open his eyes though, awaiting a claw to come out of no where and rip him open. Yet nothing came. He hesitantly opened his eyes, taking a step backward.
"O-Oh my God..." China said, covering his mouth out of surprise. He did hit something with the vase but it wasn`t a bear. It was a man. "I`m so sorry! Are you alright, aru?!" China asked, turning the man over so his face was visible and he was laying on his back.
Once on his back the mystereious man was revealed. He had short platnuim hair and his violet eyes began to flutter open, China had given him a huge bruise on the side of his left temple with the face, the man at fault biting his lip in concern."H-Hello?" The violet-eyed man asked, looking up at China, wind bringing snow into the home and China quickly shutting the door.
"I`m so sorry..." China repeated, helping the man up and laying him down on the couch."I thought you were a bear and I got worried, aru.."He tried to justify himself as he examined the injury, the man laying down laughing childishly."Da! It`s fine..I understand, no harm done." He said, acting like there wasn`t a huge bruise on his temple and China feared the man might have brain damage.
"What is your name, aru?" China asked, making sure the man could still remember it. I did hit him pretty hard with the vase.... The Chinese man thought, bitting his lip in concern. The Russian man laid his large head down on the arm of the couch, his long beige trench coat and black combat boots soaked with frozen water."Ivan.
Ivan Braginski." He said, his creepy violet eyes looking directly into China`s amber shaded ones."Your`s?" He asked. China was still slightly gawking at the man`s ablity to be unphased by the bruises that lined his face.Crazy Russians.. He thought before letting out a sigh and grabbing the first aid kit from under the couch."I am Wang Yao."He said, taking out a see-through cream and rubbing it on his finger tips before instructing the Russian to lean his head a bit back.
"You don`t have to, Yao. It`s just a little scratch."Ivan said, not wanting to become a bother to the Chinese man that seemed so concerned for a stranger. China took his head, his stubbornness preventing him from letting Ivan do as he pleased."No, I insist. It is my fault you got hurt and I don`t want it to get worse, aru." He said, applying the cream to the bruise, watching the man`s eyes slip shut in a short and light semi-bliss.The fire place burned beside them and the shadow of the flames danced across the living room, the two men sitting in silence for a few minutes while China applied the lotion.
Thoughts bubbled to the surface of both of their head, questions they wanted to ask to things they wanted to tell. Finally the platnuim haired man broke the silence."You are very pretty, Yao-Yao.~" He said, his violet eyes starring into China`s upside-down.China nearly did a spit take with his own saliva, the ebony haired man turning the most vivid shade of scarlet."I-Ivan, aru! W-What an inapropriet thing to say! We just met!" China scoldeded, using his red silk robe baggy sleeves to cover his flushed face. He rarely talked to people, earning the name 'The Silent Giant' because of all the land he owned.
Ivan had no probelm saying that though, he actually let out a light-hearted laugh at China`s reaction."But you are~ I can`t lie to you." He said, one of his large and cold leather-clad hands brushing China`s small and thin hands away from his flushed face."There is that pretty face again! Don`t hide it , Yao-Yao." He said, making the face glow darker and China`s lower lip stick out in a pouting motion."I-I`m not pretty, aru." China stuttered."I-I`m manry so I`m handsome." He corrected, his pout growing when he heard the Russian`s light and child-like laughter fill the home once again."A boy can be pretty too~" China grumbled but didn`t reply, putting a large bandaid on the larger man`s forehead and giving him a light kiss on the wound out of habit.
Now it was time for the Russian`s cheeks to light up, his head tilting back quickly as he planted a quick kiss on the ebony haired man`s rosy lips. China`s amber eyes widened and jumped away like he had been burned by the cold lips. Both of them were surprised though, Ivan knowing he went past a boundary he shouldn`t have and China feeling invaded. They both sat their in silence though, China on his feet about 3 feet away, amber eyes wide, and hand to his lips. Russia sitting up on a propped up elbow, his violet eyes on the floor, and bitting his lip as if he wanted to say something but he couldn`t muster his words in
the silence.
Why...Why did I do that? Bad Ivan! Now you are going to get kicked out all because of a bit of temptation! .....Ugh...He was...really cute though... And he`ll have to get used to it any way..I mean if he have to... The Russian thought, a worried look finding it`s way into his eyes."I-I`m sorry.....I-I didn`t mean to, I-It was an accident.." Ivan said, looking down at the floor, his strong face having the most visible look of childish sadness. China didn`t want to forgive the man for invading his personal circle but the cute face made China forgive him with a bitter scowl. It was only a ...little kiss...China tried to convince himself.
He didn`t say a word though he just disappeared down the hall that connected to the living room, only making Ivan bite his nails in worry.
Once the man was out of sight he let his head hang, beating himself up. Way to ruin another meeting! That could`ve been a potential ally! Now it is even harder for us to work with the 'agreement' He thought, feeling bad but for the first time in a while when China`s maternal arms wrapped around him and his amber eyes glowed with worry..Something made Ivan feel alive again.
He watched the man come back into the room a few minutes later, a pair of large pajamas in his hands as he let out a sigh, a pouty and embarrassed look on his face."I won`t kick you out because of that moment of stupidity, aru. But I inform you to be more careful or no matter how cold it gets outside I will not be so nice." China warned, his hands a bit shaky after that.I
should kick him out....I haven`t...ever been kissed and now I`m letting this complete stranger kiss me without punishment...I`ve truly grown soft, aru..but I can`t help it. It`s too cold to force him out...and he is also too cute aru...like a child though! N-not like I romanticly like him or anything, aru! He thought, crossing his legs and trying to move closer to the fire so he could justify his blush.
Ivan smiled wide at not being kicked out. Aww, little Yao is so kind! He thought, wanting to hug the nice nation but he stopped himself. It was obivous the man didn`t want affection and even though the affectionate Russian wanted to show his thanks, he`s have to be descrete. In the morning I can hug him though, right? ...He won`t be angry anymore, righ? "T-Thank you very much, Yao. You really are a kind man." He said, making the man`s cheeks light up as he nodded."Y-You`re welcome just go into the bathroom and change...it`s three doors down to the right."
Russia nearly skipped to the bathroom, so happy he had got another chance but thoughts still lingered in his head. Why did Yao give me another chance? What was that feeling after he kissed me..? Did he ...enjoy the kiss? And though the thoughts lingered there, he tried not to think about them. They made him want to kiss
him again.
China on the other hand couldn`t stop thinking about the kiss. He played the scene over and over again, messing with the end of his ends of his drying hair.Damn...He is only a stranger...W-Why would he do that?He thought, his blush only getting worse. Suddenly though he felt something soft and furry brush up against his arm, he jumped but he knew exactly what it was; a tiny kitten that brough him messages from his boss every so often.
China opened the thin tin around the cat`s neck and read the note. At first his eye brows knitted together as he looked at the paper, his cheeks now the color of his flag."N-No......T-This can`t be right aru..." He whispered to himself, amber eyes trying to find atleast one mark in the characters that could suggest China was reading it wrong but he could find no such thing. He gulped.
"What are you looking at, Yao-Yao?" The large Russian man asked, looming over the Chinese man in a way where his stomach touched the red silk covered back. Now China let out a yelp, everyone sneaking up on him. China quickly tried to turn over the note or move it from Ivan`s view but he read it and smirked, leaning close to China`s ear and letting his warm breathe tickle the lobe."So you know now...~" Well, I`m gald he found out about the arangement early~
The note fell to the floor when China shivered in surprise, the paper warfing off and getting caught in the flames of the fire. The only legiable writing on the sheet being 'Nation of Russia', 'human personification', 'Ivan Braginski', 'to solve future dissputes', and 'Sino-Soviet marriage'.

"Kesesese~ Alright, well obviously when Mutti first saw the Awesome Me, she fell madly in love right then and there. It was fate that we met, we were paired up from the start many years ago."
You couldn't hold back your chuckle at your husband's dramatically false version of the story.

Blood stained Antonio's long, red coat even redder. A bit of his enemies blood, and his own, too. He felt no pain at the moment. Adrenaline and killing had blurred his senses.
Kill them! Kill them! Just kill them!
Was all that was going inside his head.
Show them no mercy! Kill them.
Mad laugh passed his lips as one of his enemies fell down, and he swung his battle axe proudly. He gave one contemptuous look to the body on the ground before he ran to find more to kill.
Bodies all around. He smirked triumphantly.
It's right. It's certainly right to do this when I do it for my land, my treasures, my life, and especially my Romano.
